The New Stage of Music Theatre in Gdynia
On 14 April 2012, the Danuta Baduszkowska Music Theatre in Gdynia was witness to two extraordinary events: the preview of a new play and inauguration of a New Stage. The theatre invited the audience to the Ball in the Opera House directed by Wojciech Kościelniak, withmusic by Leszek Możdżer. In 1958, with this gorgeous satire by Julian Tuwim, Danuta Baduszkowa opened the Music Theatre, and in 2012 its preview added splendour to the inauguration of the New Stage. It was open by: the Pomeranian Province Marshall Mieczysław Struk, Mayor of the City of Gdynia Wojciech Szczurek and theatre upgrade designer Professor Józef Chmiel. The auditorium seating is mobile, some seats can be folded down so as to enable actors to play in the middle of the auditorium. The hall holds 360 seats. The inauguration of the New Stage is the first of fully completed phases of the theatre upgrade.
The contribution of VBW Engineering to this extremely important cultural event in Gdynia was proper air-conditioning for so demanding rooms. It is noteworthy that, like in our previous projects in theatres, opera houses, concert halls and auditoria, the crucial issue is silent but highly efficient equipment operation. The requirements have been perfectly satisfied by BD rooftops made by VBW Engineering, whose ideal operation was tested during the premiere.
