An Electrolux Cooker Manufacturing Plant To Be Established in Świdnica
On May 30, 2006, Electrolux, the leading producer of mechanical household and gardening appliances, celebrated the completion of the first phase of the construction of the cooker manufacturing plant in Świdnica, Lower Silesia. The Świdnica plant will be the fourth such object of Electrolux Group in Poland. At present Electrolux is manufacturing dryers in Siewierz, dishwashers in Żarów and washing machines in Oławie.
VBW Engineering produced and delivered to the plant in Świdnica the air handling units of the total capacity of 347.000 m3/h, including 10 PEGAZ BD roof units with heater. The short execution period upon the order of the Polish branch office of KAJIMA EUROPE company and the quality of the installed appliances contributed to the fact of our company receiving high references from the Japanese investor.
The new object comprises approx. 30 700 m2 of rooms (production halls, storehouse, offices and social service rooms) on the area of 30 ha. Electrolux will invest over 40 m EURO in the Świdnica plant and within three years will create 350 jobs in production, administration and management.
The Świdnica plant will meet all requirements of Electrolux Manufacturing Systems (EMS). EMS is a programme that defines the highest standards of production, delivery, logistics and quality in Electrolux Group plants. The Electrolux Group comprises such makes as the following: AEG-Electrolux, Electrolux, Zanussi, Frigidaire, Eureka and Husqvarna. Each year customers from over 150 countries buy over 55 m house and professional appliances.
The commencement of the production in Świdnica is scheduled for the end of December, 2006, i.e. 16 months form the signature of the contract with the municipal authorities.
